Old, large beech forests, steep quartzite scree, rare hillside moors and endless forest areas make the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park so unique. The youngest National Park in Germany was opened in May 2015. On an estimated area of 10,000 hectares there are numerous tourist attractions: You can explore nature on the many hiking and cycling trails or learn about the local flora and fauna on a guided tour with rangers or National Park guides.
