Scenic viewpoints in the Nahe region
Wow! What a view! Whether in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park or in the wine region: The Nahe region has lots of great viewpoints, that you can visit - in combination with a short hike or directly by car. We have listed some of the most beautiful viewpoints for you. By the way: From our castles and palaces you always have a fantastic panoramic view.
Nahe-Skywalk
This is nothing for the faint-hearted! Just a few steps and you are standing 60 metres above the ground on a metal grid. Above the rooftops of Hochstetten-Dhaun, the Skywalk is set in the rock face and promises a great view over the Nahe valley from Kirn to Simmertal.
Heimberg Tower
The 29-metre-high Heimberg Tower is located on the crest of the Heimberg near Schloßböckelheim. The viewing platform offers a unique 360°-panoramic view from the Soonwald over the Taunus to the North Palatinate Uplands. A circular hiking trail from the hikers' car park leads visitors past 7 stations, highlighting the special flora and fauna, to the tower.
Viewing platform Erbeskopf
"Windklang" is the name of the beautifully shaped viewing platform on the Erbeskopf in the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Several tours - including the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig - lead directly to this extraordinary structure. From here you have a fantastic view of the National Park.
Teufelsfels - Devil's Rock
In 2020, the Devil's Rock Hut, a log cabin with a panoramic terrace, was built next to the 14-metre-high "Langer Heinrich" viewing tower. From both platforms you have a fantastic view over the Soonwald. The viewing tower is located directly on the Soonwaldsteig hiking trail.
Most beautiful wine views
Visitors to the Nahe region can enjoy wonderful views from three "most beautiful wine views". Every other year, the best vantage point in the wine region is selected. Enjoy the most beautiful wine view 2020, die most beautiful wine view 2018 und die most beautiful wine view 2016.
Lembergblick
Right at the Lemberghütte between Niederhausen, Feilbingert and Oberhausen on the Nahe, you have a spectacular view of the Nahe river and the vineyards. Visit the viewpoint by car or on a hike on the Vitaltour Mysterious Lemberg.
Viewing tower at the Magic Forest
The 25-metre-high viewing tower, from which you have a stunning view of the Birkenfeld region and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, is located directly on the Magical Forest Nature Adventure Trail in Hattgenstein.
